3.0 Grid Editor

This section details the general features of the grid editor

3.1 Select and Delete rows

To select rows, Users need to use the checkboxes displayed on the left side of the rows. Rows can be selected individually or by using Select all functionality. When rows are selected, the Delete buttons becomes enabled and the rows can be deleted.

If groups have been enabled, users can select all the products from one group by simply selecting the group. They can select multiple groups and as well deselect specific product rows to perform a bulk delete action.

3.2 Groupings

Group data based on columns

To group data, Users need to drag and drop the column header in the grouping section above the Grid. The grouping is dynamic, and Users can group and re-group as many times as they want.

Selection at group level

To select all the rows that belong to the group, Users need to select the parent group. If needed, they can deselect rows manually from the group or select manually rows from other groups as well. Based on selection, actions such as Bulk Edit, Export, Delete can be done.

Expand multiple groups at one time

Users can expand multiple groups.

3.3 Sort columns

Users can sort the data inside both Review and Products grid by clicking on the column header.

Sort and Filter actions are done taking into consideration the created groups. When sorting on a column, only the products inside the groups are sorted. When using filters, both groups and the products inside the groups are affected

3.4 Tab Navigation

To move between cells, Users can use TAB key.

3.5 Grid Configuration - Show/Hide columns

Users have the possibility to configure the view of their grid by using the Grid Configuration panel. This panel has the following functionalities:

  1. Show/Hide columns

  2. Reorder columns by dragging

  3. Reorder columns by changing the index number

  4. Search columns

  5. Lookups - display only the columns part of specific export channel

3.6 Template and Save Favourite Views

Favourite views allows you to store your own personal grid view data set.

For example, you may only need to see and work on colour related columns weekly.

From the grid navigation bar; show, hide and reorder all columns that you need to work on. In this example, the viewable columns are style code, style description, colour code and colour description. Start by hiding all columns, and unhide just the columns that are important

At the bottom of the configuration screen, type in a name of the view template(something you can easily recall and relevant to the task at hand) and select Save View.

In the example below, the view template has been called G’gina’s colour view.

Once saved this view can be recalled at any time by selecting the relevant template name from the Favourites tab.

Changes to the template can be made at any time, by re-saving the defined columns against the existing Template name.

A template can be deleted by selecting the icon to the right of the template name in the favourites tab.

Users can search for data inside the Review and Products grid by using the Global Search functionality. The data inside the grids will be filtered according to the searched keywords.

The Global Search functionality works both at groups level and products level.

3.8 Errors Count

Users can check the number of cells marked with error or missing data highlight by clicking on Show data errors button. When the data inside the grid are filtered, then Users will see both the total count as well as the count for the filtered data.

3.9 Undo/Redo Functionality

When making a change on the data inside the grid, Users can revert the change by using the Undo/Redo buttons or by using the corresponding key shortcuts: CTRL-Z(undo), CTRL-Y(redo).

Undo functionality is not available if the changes on the data inside the grid have been done using Bulk edit functionality.
